The Vero Charge EVSE controller interfaces with offboard AC wall chargers to allow your EV conversion to charge at public charging stations. The Vero Charge can be used standalone or can be connected to our Vero BMS V2 for more advanced features.

Key Functionality:

  1. Allow charging using an offboard AC charge station/EVSE
  2. Indicate when a Type 1/Type 2 plug is inserted in the charge inlet
  3. Disable vehicle from driving when plugged in (safety interlock)
  4. Detect Plug based on the Proximity Signal – Dedicated 12V output when plug is inserted, EVSE does not need to be powered ON
  5. Automatically stop charging when plug latch is pressed
  6. Calculate available AC current from EVSE – when used with the Vero BMS V2, the Pilot Signal will be conditioned by the Vero Charge for interpretation on the Vero BMS V2. This allows for the automatic limiting of CANbus-based chargers.*
  7. Switch on EVSE with simple 12V signal – Can come from any 12V source; A BMS signal (same as a charger activate signal) or a simple 12V switch
